The UNL Computer Science and Engineering Department, in conjunction with the local chapter of ACM, is organizing and hosting the 2011 ACM Regional Programming Contest, which will be held in Avery Hall on Saturday, November 12, 2011. Approximately thirty-five teams will attend the regional competition, and the top team will travel to Poland in May 2012 to compete in the World Finals.
We need about fifteen student volunteers to help answer questions in the labs, take pictures throughout the event, help serve brunch, and assist with the awards banquet.
What can you do?
* Monitor the Contest Labs
* Inflate and deliver balloons to teams as they complete problems
* Take photographs throughout the event
* Help serve food at the brunch and/or banquet
What's in it for you?
* A really great experience!
* Free snacks, lunch, and dinner
* A certificate from ACM that you have served as a volunteer
* A messenger bag
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Carden Reichert, via email at mreicher@cse.unl.edu, including both your name, email address, and area of interest.
