The new Graduate Student Travel Award will provide support for student travel to present at professional conferences as well as student travel for work directly related to dissertation/thesis projects.

A new award will assist advanced Nebraska graduate students in sharing their research and findings beyond our state lines. The Graduate Student Travel Award will provide support for student travel to present at professional conferences as well as student travel for work directly related to dissertation/thesis projects.

The Office of Graduate Studies will grant the award based on an internal review assessing the necessity of travel, feasibility, planning, and departmental support. Students may request up to $1,500 in an academic year.

Through a generous donation from the family of Warren and Edith Day, funding was made possible by the University of Nebraska Foundation. The Graduate Student Travel Award will henceforth replace the award formerly known as the Warren and Edith Day Dissertation Travel Award.
