Congratulations to May and August 2020 graduates

Congratulations to the 15 teachers who earned master’s degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in either May 2020 or August 2020, in part as a result of their participation in the MAT program, Primarily Math or the NMSSI.

Eleven teachers (from Nebraska unless otherwise noted) earned a Master of Arts for Teachers (MAT) degree from the Department of Mathematics in August:

• Corey Jones, Lincoln High School
• Jim Lynam, Springfield Platteview High School
• Laura Rademacher, Omaha Public Schools
• Drew Rische, Crete High School
• Hannah Rundle, Elkhorn South High School
• Kaitlyn Tenski, Harvard High School
• Alison Timoney, Columbus Scotus Central Catholic
• Alison Willis, Lincoln Christian

Lisa Ryba, a Lincoln Public Schools teacher who completed Primarily Math in 2015, graduated with a Master of Arts from the Department of Teaching, Learning and Teacher Education and a minor in Mathematics in August. In May, Omaha Public Schools elementary teacher Elizabeth Grimmond earned her Master of Arts from TLTE with a minor in Mathematics. She was a part of Primarily Math in the Omaha Public Schools Teacher Leader Academy.

In May, Emily Kohmetscher of Blue Hill High School and Amanda Nielson of Arizona each graduated with an MAT degree.
