National Math Festival moves online with dedicated hours for every age group

Join the 2021 National Math Festival Live Online Weekend starting Friday, April 16, through Sunday, April 18, 2021!

In 2017 and 2019, the National Math Festival was a one-day event held in Washington, D.C. But, in 2021, the National Math Festival has expanded to three days and is available virtually as a nationwide event.

Children of all ages as well as parents, teachers and anyone who has ever enjoyed mathematics will find a wide variety of activities that are both fun and interesting. This is an opportunity not to be missed and we hope math teachers across the state will encourage their students to check out the Festival.

The NMF is organized by the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (MSRI) in cooperation with the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) and the National Museum of Mathematics (MoMath). The National Museum of Mathematics is in New York City.

The NMF is a youth-centered environment, with moderated chat, live support staff at the online help desk during Festival hours, and dedicated activities for every age group: 2-4, 5-7, 8-10, 11-13, 14-18, 18+, and All Ages.

This is family math inspiration at its best. Drop in and out throughout the weekend. Stay a few minutes, or a few hours. Take it easy, or dive deeply: Both approaches will be fun during this exciting community-building weekend.
