UNL’s Nebraska Math and Science Summer Institutes (NMSSI) is excited to announce a special offer for Teacher Appreciation Week, May 8-12! Nebraska teachers who complete an NMSSI Fellowship Application between May 8-12 and plan to enroll in either Math 803T, Math 804T, and/or Math 816T are eligible to receive a $500 fellowship!**

This fellowship is in addition to the 20% tuition discount for current Nebraska teachers (for courses that are not online asynchronous). Apply at: https://forms.gle/cYVgxaXEoWVjybPP7

Math 803T: Computational Thinking for Middle-Level Teachers (June 12-23, M-F, 8am-noon, web conferencing) is appropriate for upper elementary and middle-level teachers. Math 804T: Experimentation, Conjecture & Reasoning (June 12-16, 8am-5pm, Avery 13, UNL City Campus) is aimed at middle-level teachers but is appropriate for secondary teachers as well. Math 816T: Math in the City for Teachers (June 5-16, M-F, 8 a.m.-noon, and all day June 30, web conferencing) is designed for teachers with secondary certification.

Even if this special offer doesn’t apply to you, NMSSI Fellowships (typically $150-$400) are available for all of the NMSSI courses in Summer 2023, in mathematics, mathematics pedagogy, and the sciences, for K-12 teachers. The courses will be offered utilizing several instructional models, including in-person, synchronous online (“web conferencing”), and asynchronous online, and in varying lengths of time, from one week to eight weeks. Check out the full list of courses in the NMSSI Course Catalog: https://scimath.unl.edu/nmssi-course-catalog-2023

To enroll in UNL graduate courses, follow the four steps outlined on the NMSSI website, http://scimath.unl.edu/nmssi. Check out our costs page to see how much your tuition will be reduced after the 20% discount and NMSSI fellowships!
