LPS' Larson publishes article, book up for award

An article by Lincoln Public Schools' Dr. Matt Larson, supervisor of mathematics, and Steven Leinwand on the likelihood that test scores will go down under the Common Core will appear in the May issues of Teaching Children Mathematics, Mathematics Teaching in the Middle School, and Mathematics Teacher.​

Also, ForeWord Reviews announced the finalists for the 2012 Book of the Year Awards. The finalists were selected from 1,300 entries covering 62 categories of books from independent and academic presses. These books represent some of the best books produced by small publishing houses in 2012.

A book by Larson, supervisor of mathematics, was one of the finalists in Education: "Common Core Mathematics in a PLC at Work™, Grades 3–5".
