Attend NATM Conference in Kearney

The Nebraska Association of Teachers of Mathematics will hold the 2014 annual fall conference, "Take 2014: Ensuring Mathematical Success for All Students," in Kearney on Monday, Sept. 29.

Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. and the conference begins at 8:30 a.m.

The featured speakers are from the writing team of NCTM's Principles to Actions, Steven Leinward of the American Institutes for Research, and Daniel J. Brahier of Bowling Green State University. All conference attendees will receive a copy of the book.

Breakout session topics include: Student Engagement and Motivation, Effective Practices in Teaching Mathematics, Mastering Basic Facts, High Leverage Instructional Strategies, Mathematical Modeling, Connecting Mathematics to Media, Connections Between Math and Science, and Computer Programming.
