Next week (11/7), Dr. Ray Reichenberg, a new research faculty member at UNL, will share his work entitled "Technology-enhanced Assessment: An Overview of Psychometric Challenges and Solutions."

Ray is a Research Assistant Professor in the Nebraska Academy for Methodology, Analytics, & Psychometrics located with the Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families, and Schools at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.

His most recent research focuses on assessment for digital learning environments such as games and simulations. In particular, he is working on better understanding the psychometric properties of dynamic Bayesian networks – a class of models well-suited for handling complex assessment data. He is also interested in building assessments with the capacity for providing real-time feedback to stakeholders as well as how to integrate process data into educational assessment. From a substantive perspective, He is interested in developing psychometrically rigorous formative assessments using the ubiquitous data found in modern classrooms leveraging research from both traditional as well as modern psychometric theory.
