The Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor is planning to open a Center for Transformative Teaching in AY 2018-2019 that promotes evidence-based instructional strategies and pedagogical practices shown to support students’ learning and success. One of the Center’s main priorities will be promoting Research/Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SOTL) initiatives and collaborations with faculty engaged in discipline-based classroom and teaching research (ARISE, CIRTL, Peer Review, etc.), learning analytics (UNIZIN), open educational resources (STAR), and other teaching issues. Please come share your ideas, experiences, and feedback on how this priority can be realized through the lens of DBER and STEM faculty.

Time: Thurs 10/25 from 2-3 pm.
Location: 109 Bessey Hall
