Durham School Faculty Receive Funding Awards

Dr. Changbum Ahn has received nearly $70,000 from the National Science Foundation for his project titled "Human-centric Sensing Platform to Assess Neighborhood Physical Disorder” which focuses on safety and walkability in the built environment.

Dr. Alsaleem will get up to $20,000 worth of in-kind technical support from Argonne National Laboratory to expand his project focused on developing a novel MEMS Sensor. He will also be awarded a mini-accelerator award from Clean Energy Trust (CET) and be able to compete for the CET Challenge, where startups annually compete for $1 million in early stage funding.

Congratulations on the hard work!
