Nebraska Engineering alumnus speaks Sept. 16

Mechanical and Materials EngineeringKim Blair, Ph.D., will discuss Disciplines of Technology Development and Product Design on Friday, Sept. 16 at 3 p.m. in Jorgensen 110. Blair has a B.S. from UNL in Mechanical Engineering and founded the Sports Innovation Program at MIT. He also trained with NASA and has been an Ironman triathlete.

 

Renewable Energy Systems Seminar, Sept. 28

wind turbineBill Fehrman, CEO of MidAmerican Energy, will give a seminar on his company's Renewable Energy Systems: Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 3 p.m. in SEC 237. MidAmerican owns and operates many of Iowa’s wind farms. Fehrman is hosted by UNL's Electrical Engineering Department.

Ohio State University's Marras speaks Sept. 23 at UNL

Big TenNAE member Bill Marras, who directs OSU's Biodynamics Laboratory, will speak Friday, Sept. 23 at 3 p.m. in Jorgensen 110. He researches ergonomics and applies quantitative engineering techniques in low back pain causes and treatment techniques. His new book is The Working Back: A Systems View
