ANTH/WMNS 408: ACE and mentoring opportunities

Cross-Cultural Mentoring (ANTH/WMNS 408) still has room for additional mentors and the requests for UNL students from North Star High School (and now Lincoln High) is long. So it's not too late to join - we have not yet matched UNL students with mentees - so this is an open opportunity and you can enroll in the class over the next two weeks. You can easily make up for lost time.

You can also consider mentoring for the spring semester and continue the experience through the fall.

In addition to the class, the deadline has been extended for Americorps applications to September 16 so if you need an ACE 8 class or an IS opportunity, please contact Mary Willis about cross-cultural mentoring. Students do not have to apply for AmeriCorps in order to mentor, however, it's a great benefit for participating in class and working with a student.

UNL mentors will have 12 months to accrue the 300 hours of service-related mentoring. When the 300 hours is completed, students earn a full semester of tuition credit. If you live on campus, you can have a housing voucher too!
