The Mid-America Transportation Center (MATC) is seeking applicants with junior or senior standing for its 2018 Summer Internship Program that provides opportunities in engineering. Application deadline is Wednesday, April 18.
The MATC Internship Program partners with private companies, local government, and academia to provide undergraduate students with paid summer internship opportunities in the field of engineering.
Preferred applicants for the MATC Internship Program would:
*Have junior or senior standing as of May 2018.
*Maintain a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher (strongly recommended).
*Be currently enrolled in a University of Nebraska or MATC-affiliated institution.
During this 12-week program, students gain hands-on experience in their area of interest under the mentorship of a professional from organizations such as the Nebraska Department of Transportation, Iteris, Inc., Olsson Associates, City of Lincoln Public Works and Utilities Department, City of Omaha, and Felsburg Holt & Ullevig.
Students work 40 hours per week while experiencing the day-to-day tasks and responsibilities of their desired career. The program culminates in a written paper and presentation detailing the student’s internship experience.
