Environmental Studies Major
Environmental Studies Major

Are you passionate about the environment? Do you want to explore the causes and effects of our warming planet? Do you want to be part of the solution in the great battle against climate change? If you answered yes, the Environmental Studies Program is the place for you. Once you declare your major, you will become immersed in a variety of environmental classes that will educate and prepare you for life after graduation.

Want to learn more about why people have differing views of the environment? ENVR 334: Psychology of Environmental Sustainability is
the class for you.

Interested in the physical effects of climate change? GEOG 155: Elements of
Physical Geography is there to aid you in that learning.

Contemplating studying environmental law? AECN 456: Environmental Law can further your interest. In any area of study that you’re interested in, there are resources within the department to help get you there.

Outside of the classroom, there are plenty of ways to get involved as well.
Whether it be in student organizations (like Sustain UNL), the ASUN Environmental Leadership Program, or the Ecoleaders, there are many ways to get involved, meet like-minded students, and grow your Husker community.
