If you enjoy being creative, solving problems, and working with others, then engineering, computing or construction could be the perfect fit for you. These majors allow students to learn the skills needed to improve the world around us. At UNL, you’ll have the opportunity to take classes in Kiewit Hall, our newest and one of the nation’s premier buildings designed for engineering students. You can join hands-on activities like Husker Motorsports, where students design and build race cars and off-road vehicles, or get involved with our Aerospace Club, which works on rockets, drones, and rovers for NASA and other organizations. Civil Engineering students have even competed nationally in events like the Steel Bridge and Concrete Canoe.
From Mechanical Engineering - one of our most dynamic majors - to Civil Engineering and Construction Management that focus on vital infrastructure, or fast-growing fields like Computer Science and AI, the possibilities are wide and exciting. And with the launch of our new Robotics Engineering major, students have even more opportunities to explore emerging technologies. Whether you’re interested in designing machines, building structures or advancing technology, you can choose your own pathway at UNL and prepare for a rewarding career.
