The Hospitality, Restaurant & Tourism Management major in the College of Education & Humans Sciences prepares extraordinary professionals for leadership positions in one of the largest and fastest growing industries in the world with an emphasis on service excellence. Through a combination of classes and internships, students complete this program prepared to be service-oriented leaders ready to lead hospitality organizations anywhere in the world. Students can tailor their course work to a variety of interest areas in the field including Club Management, Event Management, Food and Beverage, Human Resources, Lodging, and Tourism.
In addition to course work, students complete three internships throughout the degree program. These internships start to build a student’s professional network but also allows students to continue to develop their skills in this field. In addition to required internships, many students in this program will participate in faculty led education abroad opportunities or unique experiences like working and learning at the Masters Tournament. Hospitality, Restaurant & Tourism Management students and their professional goals are supported by the program faculty and staff as well as a well-connected and engaged Advisory Board.
