By going through the emergency action plan (EAP) process, these counties identified shelter-in-place locations, outlined evacuation procedures, created office maps, and compiled staff contact lists. There was an increase in office EAPs. In 2018, 19 offices completed plans, while 30 offices completed plans in 2019.
All county offices and Extension units are encouraged to review or complete a local plan. A new plan template will be shared in late winter 2020 to reflect the Engagement Zone Coordinator model. Information about the EAP process will be made available at that time.
