Rural Family Stress and Wellness Media Channel

A new Rural Family Stress and Wellness media channel has been added to UNL MediaHub. The channel currently features two Wellness in Tough Times videos at http://go.unl.edu/ruralwellnessmedia. As we approach the one-year anniversary of the 2019 disaster, please consider including these videos in your programming efforts.

Mental Health and Agriculture. Featured at 2019 Husker Harvest Days Wellness in Tough Times booth, this 5 minute video shares information on mental health and agriculture: recognizing the symptoms of stress, five steps to well-being, suicide awareness, available resources. Use the video as part of a presentation or download to play on a loop at an event. It can also be embedded on web sites and shared on social media.

Wellness in Tough Times. This video highlights three rural Nebraska families who share their experiences when faced with difficult times including challenges faced with the agricultural economy, weather, and loss of livestock. Includes messages of coping, resilience, and resources.
Originally produced for use with pesticide education trainings, this video can be used in a variety of situations and programming efforts. The video can be downloaded, shared on social media, and embedded on web sites via UNL MediaHub. Produced by Taylor Productions.
