Open REACH Training for Students
Thursday, March 24th, 3-4:30pm, University Health Center Room 126
• Suicide prevention is a shared campus responsibility. Join the REACH movement by attending gatekeeper training!
• REACH is an interactive 90-minute training designed to help the university community prevent suicide by teaching faculty, staff and students how to:
o Recognize warning signs
o Engage with empathy
o Ask directly about suicide
o Communicate hope
o Help suicidal individuals to access care and treatment
• Participants who attend the full 90-minute training will receive a certificate and a REACH lapel pin.

Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internships (SULI) Program
• The Office of Science / US Department of Energy is pleased to announce paid research internship opportunities for undergraduate students majoring in areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) for the Fall of 2022. The application system for the 2022 Fall Term Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internships (SULI) program is currently open, with all applications due by 05:00 PM Eastern Time on May 26, 2022.
• The Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internships (SULI) program places students from 2- and 4-year undergraduate institutions as paid interns in science and engineering research activities at DOE national laboratories and facilities, working with laboratory staff scientists and engineers on projects related to ongoing research programs. Appointments are for 16 weeks during the Fall term, are open to US Citizens and US Lawful Permanent Residents, include a weekly stipend, reimbursement for one round trip domestic travel to the participant’s host DOE laboratory, and possibilities for a housing allowance. More than 850 internships are sponsored annually.

Legal Intern Position
• Bruning Law Group in downtown Lincoln is looking for hard-working students to fill a few legal intern positions for the remaining spring semester and for the summer. Duties include conducting legislative research, drafting, and editing documents, performing organizational tasks, and completing other duties as assigned. This position will report to the Special Projects Coordinator and requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and critical thinking. Interns will gain experience in a professional environment while interacting with attorneys and other support staff.
• Applicants must be proficient in Word and Excel. The positions are paid, and preference will be given to applicants able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week. Bruning Law Group’s hours of operation are from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

University of Iowa College of Law Bridge 2022

• The University of Iowa College of Law invites you to the Law Bridge 2022 program.  This free program is designed to introduce diverse students to law school.  While we can’t be in person this year, we are offering the program as a way for you to learn what it’s like to be a law student, develop a strong application, take two mock law classes, and listen and interact with current and former law students.

This Practice LSAT will help you practice your skills on the LSAT as well as what it is like to take the test in a digital environment similar to the Official LSAT exam.
