Celebrate Global Nebraska community at “Global Glam" Sat. March 26 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Wick Alumni Center. Tickets are limited, and all are welcome to enjoy traditional clothing, food and music. This is the last week that tickets can be purchased.

Hosted by the International Student and Scholar Office, this first-time celebration will showcase traditional clothing from various world regions — from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Iraq, Japan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, Sudan to Zambia — all to represent the culture and heritage of many Nebraska students with international backgrounds and community.

One ticket for Global Glam will also give an opportunity to browse around Maker’s Market for handcrafted garments by Lincoln’s cultural communities, listen to the Glenn Korff School of Music jazz trio, enjoy appetizers from the Venue Restaurant and many more.

The event is open to the public. Ticket is limited — $15/student, $20/staff & faculty, and $25 for community members. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to ECHO Collective, a non-profit in Lincoln that provides economic empowerment resources and professional mentorship for Nebraska’s immigrant and refugees communities.
