Spring Meeting of the Nebraska Geological Society
The Spring Meeting of the Nebraska Geological Society (NGS) will be held in person on April 21, 2022 at the Farmer Browns Steak House (2620 River Road Dr., Waterloo, NE 68069). The food at Farmer Browns Steak House is excellent!
Social Time starts at 5:30 pm, and the Dinner Program will be at 6:00 pm. Attendees will order individually from the Party Room Menu. Douglas Hallum will present the talk "Making a long story longer: Interstate Compacts and Nebraska".
Students majoring in Geology are particularly welcome to attend. If you come, the NGS provides you with a free membership for the rest of 2022. This includes educational presentations via zoom, in-person meetings in April, September, and November (social, educational program, free meal), geology field trip (free registration – the students must provide their own travel/food), and optional social and business meetings.
The membership in NGS will provide students an opportunity to build their networks and learn of employment opportunities among professionals in private industry, academia and government.
