As the end of the semester approaches, the International Student and Scholar Office (ISSO) reminds international students that they must visit ISSO if they have any questions about their immigration status, need travel signatures, or want to discuss how dropping/withdrawing from classes will affect their immigration status or applying for authorization to work.
Academic Advisor Workshop
On Wednesday, April 10, the ISSO staff will host an Academic Advisor Workshop to go over immigration status processes for international students and scholars. The Workshop will be held in Regency B and C in the Nebraska Union, from 8:30 – 10:00 a.m. All academic advisors are encouraged to attend.
Travel Signatures
For international students and scholars who will be travelling outside the U.S. during the summer break, they need to have a current signature on their immigration document, a valid visa and a valid passport to re-enter the U.S. ISSO will host a Signature and Snacks event on April 24 from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. in the Nebraska Union. Students and scholars can also come to the ISSO during walk-in hours for travel signatures.
Upcoming Social Events
ISSO is hosting the following social and cultural events during the remainder of the semester, open to all international students and scholars. If you wish to sign up for the events, please contact Emily Zimmer at ezimmer4@unl.edu.
