On August 17, 2021, Graduate Studies will host the Orientation for New TAs in the City Campus Union. Workshop sessions will feature campus teaching resources and policies, grading student work and creating rubrics or assessment methods, developing lesson plans or class activities, and understanding your students, their needs, and establishing rapport.
Workshop sessions will be hands-on and practical so all TAs will leave with strategies and materials they can use in their TA roles. There will also be a panel of experienced TAs to share their advice. Some additional teaching resources will be available virtually as will a virtual panel featuring experienced TAs.
