DEVELOPMENT: Spring CIRTL programming features career possibility exploration, teaching-as-research presentations

Are you starting to think about post-degree career options? This spring the Center for Integrated Research, Teaching, and Learning (CIRTL) will run two online event series that might help.

On Wednesdays starting March 9, join one of four weekly panels of CIRTL alumni reflecting on how CIRTL impacted their varied professional interests and trajectories. And on Mondays starting March 14, join a four-part series that will help you tease out the specific ways your grad student and postdoc experiences have prepared you for careers in academia.

Other spring programming touches on some of CIRTL's pedagogical fundamentals: a Massive Open Online Course, designed to let participants learn at their own pace, digs into evidence-based teaching approaches for STEM students; an online workshop on fostering inclusive classrooms by addressing academic bullying; and an annual teaching-as-research student presentations.
