Join the International Student and Scholar Office (ISSO) for a day of fun on the slopes to learn and try skiing or snowboarding.
The trip will be held from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. on February 12 at the Mt. Crescent Ski Area in Iowa. Registration, which includes a $40 fee, is limited and required. All students, both international and domestic, are welcome to register and attend.
The $40 registration will include transportation, ski or snowboard equipment, and lift tickets. Lunch is not included. Students will meet at City Campus Student Union at 8:45 a.m. The bus will depart at 9 a.m.
It is encouraged for students to wear snow pants and bring a winter coat, gloves and hat. Wearing leggings or thermal wear is also recommended if snow pants are not available. Sunglasses or goggles are highly recommended in case the day gets too sunny.
To register, please fill out this form. To make your payment, visit one of the ISSO booths at the Nebraska City Union from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on February 1-3 or February 8-9.
The spot is reserved only after payment has been made, and there will be no refunds. Although lunch is not included, students can bring or purchase lunch from a small, on-site café at Mt. Crescent.
A pre-trip mandatory meeting will be held February 9 from 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the City Campus Union Auditorium. The meeting will discuss safety measures, materials to bring and other details that will prepare for the trip. The meeting will be held in compliance with the university’s current COVID-19 policies.
