Did you know that during the Fall 2023 semester, nearly 23% of Writing Center visitors were from graduate students?

The Writing Center offers several services to support graduate student writers:

  • Weekly visits with a Writing Center Consultant enable writers to receive feedback from experienced readers and meet short- and long-term writing goals in a low-key and relaxed space.
  • Weekly writing accountability groups meet through the fall, spring, and summer sessions to provide community and motivation for writers working on longer, often isolating projects. Interested students can email Associate Director Emma Catherine Perry at ecp@unl.edu for more information.
  • The Writing Center will host their Annual Writing Retreat in May again this year. This event is open to graduate students as well as faculty and staff, and it provides dedicated space for writing as well as workshops on topics such as increasing productivity and incorporating mindfulness into your writing practice.
