Although international students and graduate assistants are automatically enrolled in the university health insurance, action is required to use or waive the policy. Once insurance has been assigned, it will appear as a charge on your MyRED account. Your insurance card will become available to you only after you complete the "ACCEPT your insurance" instructions below. Please see Health Insurance Cards for more details on your insurance card.

If you have other qualifying insurance and wish to CANCEL (waive) the insurance assigned to you, then you must take action to cancel the insurance. If you do not successively cancel the student health insurance, then you will be responsible for the cost of the premium added to your student account balance. This must be completed in both fall and spring semesters.
