Nomination Deadline: Monday, February 27, 2023
Nominations are now open for the Nebraska Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Impact Awards. The Nebraska DEI Impact Awards presented by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, recognizes individuals and groups who actively advance diversity, equity and inclusion in transformative and sustainable ways, at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and beyond.
The awards will be presented at the 3rd annual Nebraska DEI Impact Award Reception and are open to a person, group, and or organization who have demonstrated a commitment to the goals of inclusive excellence at UNL and beyond. Such actions might include (but are not limited to): transformative efforts that support and enhance diversity activities and services; working to address issues of inequity through research, activities, and efforts; broadening the scope of inclusiveness on the campus; promoting respect for diverse backgrounds and worldviews; demonstrating advocacy for social justice and intercultural awareness.
The awards are open for nominees in the following categories, with 2 new categories added this year:
- Faculty – Diversity Leadership Faculty Award
- Staff – Diversity Leadership Staff Award
- Student (Undergraduate and Graduate/Professional) - Promising Leader Award
- Group – Collective Impact Award
- Diversity Community Impact Award (new)
- Diversity Leadership Alumni Award (new)
The deadline to submit nominations is Monday, February 27, 2023. Nominations are open to all members of the campus – students, faculty, and staff, community (Nebraska), and alumni.
The awards will be presented at the annual Nebraska DEI Impact Award Reception on Monday, April 10, 2023.
