UCARE seeks faculty, postdocs, and advanced grad students to review applications

The Office of Undergraduate Research and Fellowships seeks faculty, postdocs, and advanced graduate students from any discipline to volunteer as application reviewers for the 2023-2024 Undergraduate Creative Activities and Research Experience (UCARE) program cycle.

Application reviewers support undergraduate research at UNL while adding this enriching professional development experience to the university service section of their curriculum vitae. Each year, reviewers evaluate UCARE project proposals from undergraduate students in all disciplines, to broadly include:

  • Arts and Humanities
  • Business
  • Education
  • Engineering
  • Journalism
  • Life Sciences
  • Physical Sciences
  • Social Sciences
Reviewers will be assigned no more than 30 applications in their field of expertise (or a closely related field) and will be provided with review training materials.

Beginning in March, reviewers will use UNL's NuRamp proposal system to read and evaluate proposals at the times most convenient for them. The majority of reviewers average about five or fewer hours to complete the total evaluation process.

Please sign up to review UCARE applications using the form linked here. For more information or questions, please contact Kali Patterson at ucare@unl.edu.
