MAP Academy seeking Graduate Research Assistant

The Nebraska Academy for Methodology, Analytics & Psychometrics (MAP Academy) is seeking a graduate research assistant who will support the execution of funded research projects using qualitative and/or quantitative methods.

Position overview: The faculty/staff in the MAP Academy collaborate with scientists from various disciplines to help promote the design and implementation of methodologically sound research, and to provide effective grant-writing support to help optimize UNL’s research. MAP Academy collaborations include numerous federally funded applied, field-relevant research projects.

The graduate student will assist with: managing and analyzing quantitative data; developing and managing Qualtrics surveys; analyzing qualitative data (e.g., NVivo, MAXQDA); field data collection using interview, focus group, and survey; disseminating research findings; and participating in meetings.

We are looking for individuals with experience in designing and executing research using quantitative and/or qualitative methods, as well as strong organizational skills, attention to detail, communication skills and willingness to take leadership roles. Working knowledge and skills in basic to moderate quantitative methods and statistics is preferred.

This paid graduate assistantship would begin in May or August, and would require a commitment of approximately 19.5 hours a week.
