Three Postdoc Science Slammers Claim Victory

Identified by an audience vote and awarded a $650 travel grant, Elspeth Ready, A. Kelly Lane and Ivo Zution Goncalves claimed first, second and third in the competition, respectively.

• Dr. Elspeth Ready is a postdoctoral research associate in the College of Arts and Sciences' department of Sociology. Dr. Ready holds a doctorate in anthropology from Stanford University and a master's degree in anthropology from Trent University.

• Dr. A. Kelly Lane is a postdoctoral research associate in the College of Arts and Sciences' School of Biological Sciences. Dr. Lane holds a doctorate in genetics from the University of Georgia.

• Dr. Ivo Zution Goncalves is a postdoctoral research associate at the Daugherty Water for Food Global Institute. Dr. Goncalves holds a doctorate in agriculture engineering (water and soil) from State University of Campinas in Brazil and a master’s degree in plant production (planning and water resources management) from Federal University of Espírito Santo in Brazil.
