
The 2020-2021 Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program is accepting applications from academics and professionals through September 16, 2019.
These Fulbright awards provide approximately 50 teaching and/or research grants to U.S. faculty and experienced professionals in a wide variety of academic and professional fields.
Award Information
- Applicants can propose projects for a period of 4, 9, or 12 months.
- Dates of the awards should coincide with academic year of the host institution.
- Now accepting applications for awards to be given in the 2020-2021 Academic Year.
Applications for awards in several areas of knowledge listed below will be accepted until the deadline:
- Arts, Humanities, and Culture (Award 10407-CA)
- Business and Economics (Award 10410-CA)
- Education / Science and Technology (Award 10413-CA)
- Environmental Studies (Award 10416-CA)
- Health / Food Security (Award 10422-CA)
- Indigenous Studies (Award 10418-CA)
- North American Studies (Award 10420-CA)
- Policy, Law, and Governance (Award 10419-CA)

Eligibility for these awards, require the candidate to meet the minimum requirements mentioned below:
- Be a U.S. citizen (permanent residence is not sufficient)
- Hold a Ph.D. or equivalent professional/terminal degree as appropriate
- Be proficient in English
- Be in compliance with all J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board (FFSB) guidelines
- Be in compliance with all governmental regulations regarding visas, immigration, travel and residency
