The first activity is an informal information sharing session to prepare for a one-day DARPA outreach visit to the university.

The Office of Research and Economic Development (ORED) is pleased to host two upcoming events for UNL researchers to learn more about how DARPA operates, its current priorities, and what it takes to submit competitive proposals to this particular agency.

The first activity is an informal information sharing session, which will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23 in Nebraska Hall W213. The goal of this meeting is for faculty who have engaged with DARPA in the past to share best practices and lessons learned. It is being organized to help individuals understand how the nature of doing business with DARPA is considerably different than that of other federal agencies (e.g., NIH, NSF, or USDA).

The informal information sharing session is organized as a lead-up to a one-day DARPA outreach visit to UNL. Scheduled for 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, in in the Nebraska Union (City Campus), the visit will feature DARPA's deputy director, chief-of-staff, and directors of its Biological Technologies Office, Defense Sciences Office, and Information Innovation Office. The goal of this visit by senior DARPA staff is for UNL researchers to learn about how they can help DARPA advance critical capabilities for the DoD and beyond. A limited number of individual consultations with DARPA program representatives also will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
