CIST’s School of Interdisciplinary Informatics is seeking to fill a tenure track position in Biomedical Informatics with an emphasis in Health Informatics. This position will complement faculty in the college’s priority areas in Biomedical Informatics.

The healthcare industry represents one of the most complex data ecosystems today. The complexities range across technical, legal, economic, organizational and behavioral domains. Healthcare data consists of a wide variety of forms and formats and is impacted by an equally wide variety of software systems. The School seeks to attract experts in Health Informatics and Analytics who have a strong understanding of the healthcare environment and how health informatics can contribute to solutions to improve patient outcomes and have the ability to work collaboratively with Information Systems and Computer Science faculty in the college. In addition, the position will be critical in supporting the many collaborative projects the college has with the UN Medical Center.

The position is expected to conduct high-quality research, actively seek out and identify externally-funded research, and demonstrate a strong commitment to both undergraduate and graduate teaching in the areas of health informatics and health information technologies.
