UNL's Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources is sponsoring a "Grow Eat Learn" video competition. The videos must be engaging and educate the public about food and the importance of agriculture and natural resources stewardship in feeding the world.
The deadline to submit a video is July 1.
Videos must not be longer than two minutes, include the http://groweatlearn.unl.edu Web address, and be uploaded to YouTube. After the video is posted online, complete the contest submission form at http://go.unl.edu/groweatlearn.
All approved videos will be linked to the "Grow Eat Learn" website. A cash prize of $500 will be awarded for the three videos that receive the most YouTube views by noon, Aug. 1.
There is no limit to the number of entries an individual can submit. The competition is open to all Nebraska residents and UNL faculty, staff, students and alumni. Videos entered into the competition may be used for future "Grow Eat Learn" promotions.
This contest is sponsored by the “Transforming Food and Natural Resources, IANR to 2025” team which was charged by IANR Harlan Vice Chancellor Ronnie Green to develop an integrated plan for enhancing comprehensive student programs including interdisciplinary programs in the life sciences, NU system-wide food and natural resource literacy, and other curricula.
