It takes grit and determination to tell the big stories. And Climate Change is the defining story of our time. Apply to be a part of the College of Journalism and Mass Communications' award-winning Depth Reporting program during spring semester 2020 where you will explore the Earth's changing climate and what it means for our future. Telling this story will require an energetic team of writers, photographers, videographers, graphic artists, social media managers, web designers and data researchers. It will also require an additional group of students whose passion and fervor for the project will help make for a better world.
Applications are due by Oct.11 and students will be notified by Nov. 11. Applications are open to all UNL majors and there are no prerequisites to apply.
Selected participants will enroll in JOMC 491: Investigating Climate Change, an ambitious three-credit-hour course where students will work with nationally renowned faculty to research, analyze, write, photograph, record, desina and edit a diverse package of climate change stories. The class will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays, 1:30-3:20 p.m. in 228 Andersen Hall.
