The Nebraska Bankers Association (NBA) Communications and Marketing Intern supports all NBA communications and marketing initiatives under the direction of the NBA Director of Communications & Marketing. Primary goals of the position are to maintain the NBA’s position as the #1 source of Nebraska’s banking and finance professionals as well as promoting a positive image of banking to the public. Fall semester internship with potential for spring semester consideration.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
>  Assists with communication and marketing projects including but not limited to: scholarship program research, marketing material creation, writing, proofreading, video operations and special events.
>  Supports the NBA’s strategy to increase financial literacy education across the state.
>  Database assistance.
>  Other duties as assigned and general office support.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
>  Current enrollment at an accredited college or university in a related field of study. 
>  Strong oral and written communication skills.
>  Strong proofreading/editing skills.
>  Highly motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal relationship skills.
>  Excellent organizational skills with ability to handle multiple projects.
>  Strong prioritization skills.
>  Excellent member relations/customer service skills.
>  Moderate to heavy lifting and/or carrying of equipment up to 30 lbs.
>  Experience with Microsoft Office.
>  Experience with social media content creation and analytics.
>  Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.
>  Upon an official internship offer, candidate must undergo a background check.
>  Upon an official internship offer, candidate must undergo a basic drug screening.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
>  Videography, photography, writing and proofreading
>  Adobe Creative Cloud, including Adobe Premiere
>  Graphic design
>  Financial industry knowledge and/or experience 
PAY RATE:
>  $13.00 / hour
>  Approximately 15-20 hours / week; based on candidate schedule
EFFECTIVE DATE:	
>  September 2019 – December 2019
>  Fall semester internship with potential for spring semester consideration.
