NET News seeks a student worker for a paid position focused on radio broadcast journalism and digital journalism. The successful candidate will produce news stories to air on NET Radio and be featured on the NET News website and social media channels. The student could be asked to pitch, interview, produce and write for these stories. Student ideally will be in good academic standing and have completed at least two journalism courses. Expected to stay abreast of current events and to follow NET News content on radio, television, online and social media.
Position available for summer of 2020, potentially into the 2020/2021 academic year. Student will work with NET News reporters and producers and receive instruction on best practices and hands-on training on producing stories for multiple platforms and may be asked to work flexible hours.
