Commonwealth Electric Company of the Midwest has an immediate opening for a Social Media & Video Production intern to join our corporate marketing department. This position will work directly with the Marketing Coordinator to develop social media content and assist in creating videos for the company, as well as occasionally assisting with the production of marketing collateral and promoting brand awareness. For the interview process, please be prepared to show one example of video production or relevant experience.
Responsibilities Include:
> Assist in generating, editing, scheduling, publishing and sharing engaging content weekly on social media
> Ensures brand consistency in marketing and social media messages
> Collaborate with Marketing Coordinator in scripting, producing, shooting and editing creative and professional videos
> Potential opportunities in graphic design, website content creation, internal and external communications and photography (as assigned)
> Point of contact when Marketing Coordinator is unavailable
Desired Skills:
> All school years accepted, preferably majoring in marketing, advertising, new media or other related majors
> Experience in video production and editing, with the ability to operate DSLR cameras, audio, lighting kits, and production software
> Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Premiere, Illustrator and After Effects
> Basic copywriting abilities for scripting video concepts and social media content
> Experience with social media platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter
> Comfortable interacting with all levels within organization as well as outside contacts
> Familiar with Microsoft Office and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
> Positive attitude, ability to work independently, and meet deadlines
Schedule:
Extremely willing to work with your time and schedule, preferably 10-20 hours between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday-Friday and up to full time during summer; position may be extended to future semesters.
