Engineering Student Assistant - HuskerVision
Engineering Student Assistant - HuskerVision

HuskerVision is the production arm of the Nebraska Athletic Department, working side-by-side with all varsity sports and many Olympic sports. HuskerVision also works closely with the Big Ten Network to broadcast games nationally online.

The Engineering Student Assistant will receive hands-on training with professional video, audio, control systems equipment, as well as gain real world experience in live event productions while working in an engaging environment performing rapid troubleshooting, as an example. The advantage to working in a broadcast environment is exposing students to various control and data transport technologies where orchestration of all subsystems is vital to producing an event for in-house and remote viewers.

Position Specifics:
The Engineering Student Assistant for HuskerVision will entail live event production support, equipment repair and installation, and future design implementation. The student assistant will also work with members of other departments, including communications, marketing, creative and emerging media, and event ops as needed in order to support productions.

Must be willing to work nights and weekends depending on scheduled events and assignments. Knowledge of basic networking, signal flow, and modern operating systems above a fundamental level preferred.

All grades and majors are welcome to apply. *Note: You must be a current UNL student or an enrolled student for the 2020-2021 school year in order to work at HuskerVision.

Please contact Kirk Hartman at khartman@huskers.com. Applications will be accepted until Monday, June 1st. If selected for and interview, they will be done via Zoom.
