The Multimedia Production Assistant will be responsible for capturing the experience of the programs and services that Campus Recreation offers through photography and video production. The ideal candidate is an energetic, self-directed, inclusive team member who is technology savvy and culturally attuned. This team member will bring creativity, a sense of humor, outgoing personality, and an openness to collaboration.
Photography and Video (60%):
> Using various equipment to take photos and videos of program and services such as group fitness classes, intramurals, and more
> Edit, catalog, and organize digital content for shared use by department
> Produce high-quality photo and videos for social media outlets such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
> Conduct interviews with students and members to capture their stories
Communication Assistance (30%):
> Assist with campaigns and brand engagement campaigns
> Develop and implement a schedule of photography and video opportunities throughout the year
Other (10%):
> Attend regular staff meetings and trainings with Campus Recreation staff
> Other duties as assigned
Essential Qualifications:
> Must be a student currently enrolled at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln
> Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
> General knowledge of DSLR cameras and various photo and video equipment
> Ability to work in a team-based, collaborative setting
> Highly organized and detail-oriented self-starter who can work independently at times
Preferred Qualifications:
> Seeking a degree in Marketing, Strategic Planning, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
> Knowledge of DSLR cameras, lighting, and other photography and video equipment
> Knowledge or familiarity with Campus Recreation programs and services
> Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Premiere, and After Effects
