Social Media and Digital Strategy Assistant - UNL Campus Recreation (Lincoln, NE)

The Social Media and Digital Strategy Manager will be responsible for engaging and growing the online/social media presence of Campus Recreation and leveraging available platforms to increase awareness and participation in programs and services. The ideal candidate is an energetic, self-directed, inclusive team member who is social media savvy and culturally attuned. This team member will bring creativity, a sense of humor, outgoing personality, and an openness to collaboration.

Social Media Management (60%):
> Develop content calendars for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google, and other platforms that fit with the program and service offerings of Campus Recreation
> Create and implement campaigns that engage audiences, such as giveaways, promotions, and other creative ideas
> Respond to customers on social media outlets and provide necessary information
> Maintain brand consistency on platforms through messaging, profile pictures, cover photos, etc.

Analytics (30%):
> Monitor, track, and adapt social media strategy based on behavior and data trends
> Collect and analyze monthly data from social media platforms to track performance

Other (10%):
> Attend regular staff meetings and trainings with Campus Recreation staff
> Other duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications:
> Must be a student currently enrolled at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln
> Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
> Knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube, Google, and other social media platforms
> Excellent written and verbal communication skills
> Ability to work in a team-based, collaborative setting
> Highly organized and detail-oriented self-starter who can work independently at times

Preferred Qualifications:
> Seeking a degree in Marketing, Strategic Planning, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
> Knowledge of University brand standards including editorial style
> Knowledge or familiarity with Campus Recreation programs and services
