The Spearfish Sasquatch Baseball Club is looking for a Play-By-Play Radio Broadcaster for their 2021 season. This position will be the "Voice of the Spearfish Sasquatch."
Game Day Responsibilities:
> Radio broadcast all home & away games (64 games + playoffs)
> Vast knowledge of the game, the players, and day to day updates
> Ability to give play-by-play and in game analysis
> Ensure that all equipment is operational and ready to use prior to game
> Assist in troubleshooting any technical issues that may arise
> Assist in all pre-game set-up and post-game tear down operations as needed
> Ensure that all equipment is stored / secured properly for transport or storage
General Responsibilities:
> Maintain “Crows Nest” organization and tidiness
> Ensure that “Crows Nest” is cleaned up at end of the night
> Must attend weekly planning meeting with management
> Communicate all relevant issues to management
> Produce advertiser live reads and commercials
> Conduct pre-game and post-game interviews
> Ability to assist as directed by management
> Be creative with all aspects of production
> Write game recaps and post on website
Required Skills:
> Excellent communication and customer service skill.
> Excellent time management and organizational skills.
> Must be knowledgeable in the game of baseball and broadcasting sports.
> Must be able to present and maintain a professional demeanor.
*Internship is from mid-May to mid-August. Host family program and $500 stipend available.
