Student Worker - CoJMC Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee (Lincoln, NE)

The College of Journalism and Mass Communications seeks a student worker to support the college's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. Working with the committee chair, this position will coordinate and facilitate the establishment of new student-driven Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives for the college. The position is for 5 hours a week beginning in February 16, 2021 and ending in November 2021.

Responsibilities:
> Provides administrative and logistical support to the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee
> Responsible for data collection from college faculty
> Responsible for developing and helping to maintain a diversity, equity and inclusion curriculum database
> May assist with planning a variety of diversity-related events and other committee initiatives

Job Requirements/Experience and Skills:
> Self-starter with the ability to work independently while also contributing to a highly collaborative team
> Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
> Strong technical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Microsoft Access and Excel
> Knowledge of College of Journalism and Mass Communications curriculum helpful
