Video Production Specialist - NET/University (Lincoln, NE)

Nebraska Educational Telecommunications (NET)/University Television is looking to fill the position of Video Production Specialist. Responsibilities include operating various broadcast equipment including: slow motion replay servers, video switching equipment (TD), graphics, teleprompter, and other production equipment in a multi-camera environment. Other duties include camera operation and setup, and lighting. Work schedules will vary and include evening and weekend shifts. Directly reports to Studio/Remote production, but can be assigned to EFP/Editing, depending on needs.

Required qualifications:
Associate’s degree in journalism, video production, broadcasting, or related field plus one (1) year experience in a live television production environment and working in a team setting; equivalent education/experience will be considered. Experience and proficiency running a camera in both a single camera production and multi-camera production. Work history will show the ability to compose visually appealing content with a video camera; ability to work in a team setting.

The ideal candidate will have Bachelor’s degree in journalism, video production, or related field plus one (1) year experience in a live television production environment and working in a team setting; equivalent education/experience will be considered.

Any combination of the following experience and proficiency is highly preferred: running a camera in both a single camera production and multi-camera production; live sports production and knowledge of volleyball, football, baseball, etc; operating an EVS/Dreamcatcher in a live production environment; directing multi-camera productions; editing on Avid, Final Cut, or Premier Pro.
