Twenty CoJMC students (now graduates) were virtually inducted into the Alpha Delta Sigma and Kappa Tau Alpha honor societies on April 30. Five students were inducted into Alpha Delta Sigma and 15 were inducted into Kappa Tau Alpha.

Shari Veil, dean of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Journalism and Mass Communications, was also inducted into Kappa Tau Alpha and received the Outstanding Service Award as a distinguished mentor and practitioner in risk and crisis communication.

The Alpha Delta Sigma Honor Society is sponsored by the American Advertising Federation (AAF). Alpha Delta Sigma recognizes and encourages scholastic achievement in advertising studies and is the only national, professional advertising honorary society in American higher education.

Kappa Tau Alpha is a college honor society that recognizes academic excellence and promotes scholarship in journalism and mass communication. Membership must be earned by excellence in academic work and only students who rank in the top 10% of their classes are eligible for membership. Selection for membership is a mark of highest distinction and honor.
