NET News Internship
Fall 2012

NET News has an internship available for the Fall 2012 semester. NET News focuses on cross—platform, in-depth reporting of current issues of interest to Nebraskans. Interns will interact with NET News reporters and producers, and receive instruction on broadcast and interactive journalism best practices for producing stories across radio, television and digital platforms. Interns will cultivate and pitch stories, and provide research assistance to reporters.
Students must be a junior or senior in good academic standing and have completed at least two journalism courses. They will be expected to stay abreast of current events and to follow NET News coverage on radio, television and online. At least one radio, television or interactive news story – to be evaluated by news personnel for possible use on NET Radio, NET Television or the NET website – is expected. 10-15 hours per week @ $7.50/hour.
