2. Update the calendar of events page with local community events such as plays, festivals, sporting events and more.
3. Report weekly updates by email or video conferencing to College Town Network editors.
4. Occasionally take photographs of events or business in town to post on the website.
5. Encourage user-generated content and community involvement
6. Assist with the creation and launch of the specific College Town Network’s Site Facebook and Twitter accounts.
experience:
Strong writing skills and firm grasp on writing with AP Style.
Joomla Content Management System (preferred).
Requires considerable initiative, creativity and independence.
Previous experience of at least two semesters at a student media program or internship preferred.
Microsoft Office Suite (preferred)
Students majoring in communications-related field such as Journalism, Public Relations or English preferred but we will consider all majors.
