The Montana Standard is a 13,500 a.m. daily that prides itself on strong local news, excellent photography, in-depth reporting and a wealth of sports coverage.
Position Description: The editor is at the heart of the newsroom, managing the budget as well as frontline editors, including the city editor and copy desk editor. The editor also plays an integral role in managing the sports desk.
The editor spearheads online and mobile traffic through Facebook, Twitter, mobile phones, and manages production and daily updates of the Standard's website and e-edition. See our website at mtstandard.com.
This is person also plays a role in being the public face of the newspaper. Three to five years of newsroom management or similar experience is a must.
