In conjunction with the non-profit Nation Institute, The Nation magazine offers a paid design internship. This intern assists the art department in performing a wide range of tasks, including artwork construction, infographic design, and photo retouching, giving the right candidate a complete understanding of all aspects of the design and production process. The intern will report to and work with The Nation's Creative Director Robert Best.
This internship is part-time, requiring a two-day commitment per week.
Qualifications: Applicants must have experience using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Compensation and credit: The design intern is paid an hourly wage and receives a travel stipend to cover Metrocard expenses. Where available, The Nation Institute will assist interns in arranging for academic or work-study credit.
